St. Elizabeths Hospital was team's entry for DOE-ERIC proposal
A Washington Post article features St. Elizabeths as the proposed site for the green building research center competition. The DOE-Energy Efficient Building Systems Regional Innovation Cluster Initiative is a $130 million federally funded multi-agency collaborative effort. The federal agencies expect the center to spur regional economic growth while developing innovative energy efficient building technologies, designs, and systems. The University of Maryland, one of the universities on a team competing for the funding chose the location in their submission.
